Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a nurturing and dedicated daycare teacher to join our team. The daycare teacher will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating, and enriching environment for young children in our care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child.

Duties

Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development in areas such as language, cognitive, social, and motor skills.
Provide a nurturing and supportive environment where children feel safe, cared for, and encouraged to explore and learn.
Supervise children during playtime, meals, and naptime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and coworkers through open communication and collaboration.
Observe and assess children's progress and behavior, and communicate findings to parents through regular progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.
Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom environment that meets health and safety standards.
Collaborate with other daycare staff to plan and coordinate special events and holiday celebrations.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements

Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and coworkers.
Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and adapt to the changing needs of a dynamic daycare environment.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
Background Check, Doctor's Physical, DHS Training upon being hired and before starting work.
