Functional Products Inc. is a rapidly growing profitable supplier of highly specialized additives for the lubricant and grease market based in Macedonia, Ohio.
We are looking for a Bookkeeper / Inventory Control Specialist who can work with a multidisciplinary team in a small business environment. This person's responsibilities with be focused on monthly finances, inventory, accounts payable, and assisting with raw material costing.
The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, inventory management, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations.
Experience with managing a physical inventory and completing inventory counts is highly valued.

Responsibilities include:
- Complete responsibility for inventory, including counts, comparison to book inventory and coordination with auditors for annual audit
- Maintain cost records for individual lots of raw materials used to manufacture finished goods
- Other accounting duties as assigned
- Interact with selected customers with guidance of the VP of Operations
- Contact suppliers to determine current pricing and lead times
- Assist with the closing of the financial records on a monthly basis
Valued Skills:
- Attention to detail - able to work with numbers on a frequent basis with a high degree of diligence and accuracy
- Communication skills - able to communicate with staff and customers to resolve inquiries and disputes in verbal and written form; able to communicate ideas with supporting data
- Desire and willingness to learn - should be curious about the business, the products, and the industry. Able to develop and grow with the company into new roles over time.
- Proficient in MS Office, experience with QuickBooks helpful, but not required
