Engineering Technician IV

Geodesicx, Inc. is in search of an Engineering Technician IV to join our team.
The Engineering Technician IV is responsible for providing advanced technical support in testing, screening, configuration, repairing, and support to resolve shipboard casualty repairs for various Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Command and Control (C2) systems across multiple platforms supporting Department of Defense end users.
Specific Duties:
- Perform equipment checkout on Depot Level Repairable (DLR) materials returned from fleet users for beyond economical repair analysis and restoration to Ready for Issue (RFI) condition.
- Provide support to resolve Casualty Repairs (CASREPs) and fleet failure events to return systems to an operational status.
- Interface with vendors to track warranty repairs and update helpdesk tickets.
- Inspect for damage material received as RFI assets from repair or procurement before being received by the inventory management database.
- Conduct Not Ready for Issue (NRFI) Screening/Testing by testing assets received as NRFI to verify failure occurrence.
- Research if an NRFI asset is covered under warranty prior to processing for repair and take action to obtain the repair/replacement from the Original Equipment Manufacturer.
- Verify each requisition using Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) and CDMDOA as well as other available configuration information to ensure properly configured material is provided.
Experience Requirements:
- Five (5) years of practical experience with an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or seven (7) years of practical experience with a High School diploma or GED.
- Notable experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings.
- Capable of performing assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selecting or adapting standard procedures or equipment using fully applicable precedents.
Education Requirements:
Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or
Formal electronics training from Technical School, Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or a four-year electronics apprentice program; or
- High School diploma or GED.
