Product Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Increasing sales and profit dollars through the sales, marketing, product development, and promotion of product lines.

• Direct customer contact and travel are requirements of this position

• Marketing

• Seeking and maintaining current pricing from multiple vendors providing components.

• Establishing and maintaining current pricing for the various machine variants and respective sizes

• Establish a file of and current literature on competition with comments on relative strengths and weaknesses

• Establish and maintain file of materials processed and effectiveness

• Sales

• Promptly respond to customer and representative inquiries by phone, fax, e-mail, or mail as required.

• Set up, assist in running, and provide report on customer tests

• Size system components to support product lines

• Provide quotes as appropriate

• Follow up on leads and quotes until closure

• Product Development

• Constantly seek improvements to existing lines

• Provide market feedback to engineering and marketing

• Coordinate with engineering to incorporate product changes which have demonstrated customer appeal

• Actively participate on product development team

• Promotion

• Seek new markets for product line through innovation, R&D, and professional associations

• Recommend advertising, and promotions to address specific markets or sales needs

• Provide training to representatives

• Provide seminars to customers and other influential individuals or groups to establish or maintain strong relationships

• Attend trade shows

• Write or contribute to technical articles and case histories

Training/Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering preferred

Experience:

5 years plus process or capital equipment sales, preference given to dust collection and/or pneumatic conveying

Reporting Relationships:

• Reports to Vice President Sales & Marketing
