Application Support Specialist

Kentucky Electric Cooperatives (KEC) is the statewide association that supports the 26 electric cooperatives in Kentucky. In addition to providing a host of legislative, communications, and training services to Kentucky’s electric cooperatives, KEC is affiliated with several organizations that serve Kentucky’s electric co-ops. KEC highlights the strength of the cooperative business model and positions our members as leaders in the modern energy economy.

We are currently seeking an Application Support Specialist to join our Information Technology (IT) team. As an Application Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in recognizing, diagnosing, and addressing issues associated with our organization's business applications. Your responsibilities will encompass providing technical assistance, actively participating in projects, facilitating training sessions, and ensuring the seamless operation of a variety of applications utilized across the company. This position involves collaboration with various departments, customers, and vendors on projects, while ensuring prompt and comprehensive responses to issues and requests.

• Business ERP systems; prefer system deployment and troubleshooting experience.
• Customer relationship management (CRM) systems
• Decision making and problem-solving including troubleshooting basic to moderate issues.
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Effective analytical ability, particularly in a technical environment
• Basic knowledge and understanding of database structures including fields, tables, views, database objects, etc.
• Knowledgeable with Microsoft Application Suites
• Ability to travel to business and customer locations (< 10% travel)
