We are looking for a full-time Accountant to perform a variety of corporate accounting tasks who is looking to grow their career with us. A successful candidate will need to be ready to take on new challenges as the needs of the team constantly evolve, and should have a knack for working through large sets of data in an organized way.

The Accountant is responsible for supporting all aspects of the accounting and financial reporting processes. In particular, this position will support the accounting team by performing timely bank reconciliations, reviewing cash deposits, and performing other reconciliations for various receivables accounts. Additionally, this person will be responsible for preparing sales tax files for all jurisdictions, updating sales tax rates, and applying for sales tax licenses. This person will prepare regular journal entries to support a timely month-end close process.

Responsibilities:

· Processing daily transactions in the cash management module

· Identifying, investigating and correcting errors

· Completing month-end close processes such as accrual journal entries

· Preparing sales tax filings and submitting them to the correct jurisdictions

· Reconciling trade and other miscellaneous receivables

· Preparing data for invoicing various accounts

· Processes and codes bank transactions to be correctly coded in the general ledger

· Provides general ledger accounting support and participates in the department month-end close

· Completes monthly detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, primarily those related to cash accounts but including receivables and other accounts

· Prepares data for remitting unclaimed property

· Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data posted in the GL

· Other duties as assigned

· Prepares and files sales tax for all jurisdictions

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Associate’s degree in accounting with minimum 2 years experience

· Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to plan and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; works well under pressure

· Exhibits strong problem solving skills; works to identify root causes and probes fruitful sources for viable solutions

· Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders

· Exhibits excellent interpersonal and communication
