Equipment Operator - Mulch Yard

Basic Function

The Equipment Operator is an integral member of the Almstead service team and mulch operations.

• Operate a large machinery to create and move materials
• Utilize equipment such as; payloader, backhoe, skid steer and prentice.
• Maintain the mulch yard, grind wood for mulch production.
• Move materials from main yard for grinding.
• Deliver mulch and compost as needed in non-CDL straight truck
• Assist commercial and residential customers loading mulch.
• Load or unload company vehicles.
• Follow proper equipment maintenance to keep machines in proper working condition.
• Safely operate vehicles & equipment and uphold safety procedures in the yard area at all times.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• Prior experience operating a loader or other heavy equipment
• Team player with the flexibility to assist where needed

• A responsible individual with a willingness to learn

• Ability to operate large machines in a safe and responsible manner

• Valid Driver's License
