Job Description
Project Manager

Vanguard Renewables is the premier anaerobic digester developer/owner/operator in the United States. Our closed-loop anaerobic digestion process converts organic waste and cow manure into green electricity or renewable natural gas as well as other related “value-added” products. Our head office is in Weston Massachusetts, and we are funded by institutional capital partners. We currently have over twenty projects in development operating in over thirteen States. We have a plan to continue to aggressively expand into other domestic markets.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing the schedule, cost, and overall project scope of the “Organics” projects.

This individual will be assigned to a specific project and will report and work with the PMO – Project Management Office team lead. Project Managers will facilitate cross functional collaboration, communication, key stakeholder engagement and are responsible to ensure the project deliverables are achieved within budget.

 Responsibilities
  • Support three Organics projects simultaneously.
  • Identify any potential scope issue and managing risk.
  • Continuously maintain and update the risk register for development, engineering, and construction management.
  • Analyze the trends and identify focus areas or improvement ideas and collaboratively  work with various teams to jointly develop/implement strategies to improve project performance.
  • Conduct scheduled meetings to track progress and report to  management.
  • Host weekly meetings and track progress on safety, procurement, engineering, construction, contract management, project accounting, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Budget control during construction, will manage the change order  control process, and will seek approvals from the project sponsor for any non-budgeted or unexpected expenses.
  • Compile the project progress update reports and submit them to the project sponsor.
 Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of Project Management experience
  • Understanding the full project lifecycle, problem-solving, data analysis, and proficiency  with project management tools.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Ability to travel 25%.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of project financial setup, tracking, reporting & management.
  • Procurement process & management.
  • Understanding of contract language and use in building of compliance matrix.
  • Development & execution of change management process.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects at once.
  • Experience in contract compliance; change management process.
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Change management, strong leadership, communicator, negotiator.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Well Organized
  • Resourceful
