Production Inventory Assistant

SaltWorks®, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of all-natural specialty salts, is seeking a talented, detail-oriented professional to track and record inventory. This vital team member will work closely with the production, warehouse, sales, and logistics team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a computer-savvy, resourceful quick learner with strong problem-solving skills, as well as customer service experience.

Essential Duties

• Assist Inventory Manager in day-to-day operations
• Compile and maintain records of quantity and type for all inventory
• Perform Inventory Cycle Counts as required
• Transact inventory movements in Inventory System Software daily
• Fulfill inventory requirements as needed for production team
• Include detailed notes for tracking purposes (all transactions must be entered by the end of each day)
• Analyze material records for the proper handling in the database.
• Maintain all part locations in the database
• Assist in Forklift operations when moving any company materials, parts, supplies, etc.
• Place tags and labels on the inventory stock and at their storage location
• Research, reconcile, and transact any discrepancies
• Ensure Material Records are completed for parts leaving inventory as needed
• Prepare Inventory Balance Report as needed
• Provide excellent customer service
• Coordinate with team members and other internal departments of the organization
• Additional Duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• One-year relevant experience
• Must be able to lift at least 55lbs
• Must maintain a safe and positive work environment
• Must be a team player and work well with others
• Must be accurate, efficient, and trustworthy
• Database Software or Microsoft Office skills are a plus!
• Forklift Certified is a plus (will provide Forklift Certification if needed)
• Good Math skills are required
