Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Lead to oversee and manage our extensive tire inventory. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse operations. You will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, leading a team of inventory associates, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the accuracy of a large-scale inventory of 150,000-200,000 tires.
  • Lead and supervise a team of inventory control associates, providing coaching, training, and support to ensure performance targets are met.
  • Implement and oversee inventory control procedures, including blind counts, cycle counts, and physical inventories to ensure the integrity of our stock.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, performing root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory flow, reduce carrying costs, and minimize stockouts.
  • Manage the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) and Drop Ship returns process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of returned goods.
  • Ensure professional and timely communication via email with internal customers and stakeholders to complete Inventory Adjustments and finalize returns processes.
  • Juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, identifying and addressing the most pressing inventory-related tasks.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including purchasing, sales, and warehouse operations, to ensure seamless inventory management.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory software to track, analyze, and report on key inventory metrics.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Inventory Lead, Inventory Supervisor, or a similar role in a warehouse or distribution environment, preferably in e-commerce.
  • Solid understanding of inventory control principles and best practices, including blind counts, discrepancy analysis, and stock count dynamics.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A solid understanding of a warehouse RMA and Drop Ship returns process.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.

Schedules:

  • Receiving & Inventory Teams:
    • Typically Mon-Fri (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, or until completion of work)
    • Five-day/eight-hour shifts, with weekends off.

    • Typically Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM/or until completion of work)
    • Four-day/ten-hour shifts (typically followed by three consecutive days off)
