Host/ Cashier

Overview

We are currently seeking to fill the position of Host/ Cashier within our Houston Operations team. The ideal candidate is welcoming, enthusiastic and caring. They strive in a fast-paced environment and possess a demeanor that immediately puts customers at ease. Candidates for this role must have excellent customer service skills, and be comfortable handling transactions accurately and efficiently.

Job Description

As a host/ cashier, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring an engaging, seamless and exceptional dining experience for our valued customers. You will be supporting critical kitchen operations during your designated shifts including expediting, order processing and reducing customer wait time. Your work will support our company's mission to create beautiful memories for all of our customers through excellent care and hospitality.

Responsibilities

• As a Host:
  • Maintain a neatly groomed and a clean appearance during every shift
  • Create positive interactions with every customer at all time
  • Have a deep understanding of our restaurant, menu and different pricing options
  • Upsell products or services to maximize sales opportunities
  • Answer customer inquiries, complaints and requests with kindness and confidence
  • Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff for exceptional service
  • Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed
• As a Cashier:
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring a flawless checkout experience with cash, credit cards, and gift certificates
  • Operate our Heartland POS system, including online ordering features, with speed, proficiency and high accuracy
  • Maintain meticulous cash drawer records and reconcile transactions daily
  • Communicate effectively and courteously over the telephone

Qualifications

• 3+ years commercial cashier experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
  
• Valid driver's license
  
• Ability to walk and/or stand for four-hour shifts
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance
• TABC/ Serv Safe is a plus

Mon-Sat 7AM-10AM
Mon-Sat 10AM-1PM
