Job Description
FTS, Inc. has partnered with a local non profit, looking to hire a staff accountant
Responsibilities:
- Fulfill and adhere to accounting and reporting policies
- Reviewing and analyzing finances
- Ensuring compliance with non-profit regulations, and refining reporting documentation.
- Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Purchasing
- Overseeing certain contracts as it relates to financial reporting, accounting policies and maintaining internal controls over financial transactions.
- Oversees the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes
- Provides financial projections by coordinating budget/forecast preparation
- Maintains sufficient funds by forecasting cash requirements and obligations.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel.
- Working knowledge of Accounting and Payroll software and systems such as Financial Edge and ADP
