Job Description:
The Treasury Operations Associate will report to the Treasury Manager and will be responsible for daily operational support of treasury and capital markets functions. This includes loan disbursement, purchase, and sale processes. This includes working with Ascent's originating bank partners and loan buyers to facilitate loan purchases. The Associate will have responsibilities related to Ascent's student and consumer loan products.

This is a multi-faced position that works closely with different business units including Accounting, Loan Operations, Data Engineering, and Finance. The position requires strict attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute loan acquisition and sale processes to include creating funding requests and other transaction documents.
  • Reconcile loan servicing data and sale transaction documents.
  • May perform analysis on loan segments and gain on sale metrics.
  • May perform scenario analysis combining loan volume forecasts and loan sale sizing.
  • Work proactively to improve process automation and operational efficiencies.
  • Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and contribute to special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of treasury, capital markets, or related experience.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts to achieve a positive outcome.
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment without close supervision.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as attentiveness to details and a commitment to follow up.
  • Ability to effectively manage several tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness/ability to work extra hours when faced with tight deadlines.
  • Candidate must reside in the United States to be considered for this position.
Bonus points if you have:
  • Experience with student or consumer loans.
  • SQL or other experience working with large datasets.
  • Advanced degree, CPA, CFA, or other relevant certification.
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
