Job Description
JOB TITLE:   Senior Quality Control Inspector – Government Services

SCHEDULE: M-F 6:30 AM-3:00 PM 

Bargaining Unit Status:  None

FULL-TIME ☒ , OR PART-TIME ☐  (hours per week: 40 )

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
 Associate Degree in Quality Management or 3 years or more experience in Quality Control related position. (Combination of Degree and Experience may be considered)

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of quality inspection practices and procedure’s.
  • Must be Familiar and able to read Period Work Statement (PWS) and Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Must have a working knowledge of the requirements of Quality Assurance/Quality Control programs.
  • Experience in Line of Business (LOB) operations preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be authorized for coverage under agency insurance if operating agency vehicle, have good driving record, valid driver’s license, and/or required level of personal auto insurance.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, per company requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain DOD security clearance at the Secret level.
  • Ability to communicate with tact and maintain confidentiality.
  • Adequate ability in communicating in spoken conversation – adequate volume speech.
  • Adequate ability in writing/reading/mathematics.
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with management and peers.
  • Strong organizational, project planning, and management experience with proven analytical and multi-tasking skills.
  • Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in quality control reporting and basic file management.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:
Quality Control Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Ensure all daily and monthly preparations QC Inspection are scheduled.
  • Ensure the QC Inspection schedule reflects the rotation of buildings between inspectors and the use of the most economical and time-efficient routes to accomplish the work.
  • Prepare and distribute copies of the weekly QC Summary Report for discussion at weekly Supervisor’s Meeting.
  • Follow-up and make visits as necessary to ensure customer complaints are followed up, cleared, customers are satisfied, and corrective actions are documented properly.
  • Monitor monthly additions and deletions of buildings to and from the various contracts and make needed changes to the Quality Control database and supporting documents.
  • Perform QC administrative work as necessary, including:
    • QC Data entry/Data update
    • QC reports and correspondence filing and archiving  
  • Perform random Inspection that are schedule monthly to ensure standardization, and inspector compliance with existing procedures..
  • Perform and/or ensure pre-occupancy and post-occupancy inspections are completed as directed.
  • When performance discrepancies are found during inspections, ensure project management is informed of performance necessary to bring performed work to Phoenix established baseline quality standards.
  • Administer cross-training for new and fill-in QC inspectors when necessary.
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are in there designated locations.
  • Monitor employees for safe working practices and environmental compliance in their work areas, and relay negative information gained to the project management.
  • Assign appropriate personnel to investigate QC customer complaints
  • Check on customer call-in/complaints as directed by the project management.
  • Ensure all areas are re-inspected as necessary to ensure contract compliance.
  • Make sure closed areas are properly annotated upon discovery and advise the project management.
  • Ensure proper safety, cleaning, and inspection of assigned vehicles, and that inspections are properly documented.
  • Fully support the Phoenix Affirmative Action Program.
