Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician at Agilyx is responsible for maintaining and repairing all manufacturing plant equipment, either by performing the work directly or coordinating the work of third-party subcontractors and vendors. The role represents the maintenance function in supporting all aspects of the manufacturing operations and works closely with other functional departments to ensure that maintenance activities are performed in alignment with production schedules. The Maintenance Technician provides technical support for all processes and equipment used in the manufacturing process, assists in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, and adheres to all safety and PSM requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, respond to equipment breakdown calls, and participate in projects to install or improve the safety and performance of existing and new plant equipment.
• Inspect and assess the functionality of process equipment.
• Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks and safety checks.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports.
• Read and interpret P&ID drawings.
• Manage CMMS system, timely work orders issuance and closure rate.
• Maintain manufacturing assets and parts inventory.
• Safely start, stop, monitor, and manage plant equipment during processing as required and following applicable plant SOPs.
• Comply with all safety requirements and provide suggestions for continuous improvement.
• Maintain a safe clean maintenance cage, tools and inventory organization, cleanliness, and safety.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance / mechanical experience in industrial manufacturing industry; some experience managing maintenance activities preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Proficient in CMMS management software.
• Ability to effectively track and monitor multiple pieces of automated equipment operating concurrently.
• Ability to operate automated control systems as needed for a 24/7 process.
• Excellent technical knowledge of equipment, products, and processes.
• Strong knowledge in Maintenance and Reliability.
• Excellent judgment regarding health, safety, environmental and fire protection risks with emphasis on injury prevention.
• Experience in an OSHA PSM regulated facility is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Millwright experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Proficient computer skills in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
• Self-motivated, results oriented and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience working effectively in a team environment.

Position Mechanics

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Type: Hourly; full time with full benefits

Work Hours: Generally, 8:00am - 5:00pm, though multi-shift, 24/7 operation, requires evening and weekend work

Rate: $20-$24/hr., Overtime available

Location: Tigard, OR

Work environment: Manufacturing plant environment

Physical Demands: Ability to use tools, shovel, sweep, load & unload, lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs., plus operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, bridges and mono-rail cranes and wear a respirator where required by certain tasks.
