Overview:As a metal fabricator, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into finished metal products using a variety of tools, equipment, and techniques. Your work will involve interpreting blueprints, sketches, or engineering specifications to determine the required dimensions and shapes of the metal components.

Responsibilities:

Reading and interpreting blueprints: Understand and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Material preparation: Select appropriate raw materials like sheet metals, and prepare them for fabrication by cutting, shaping, and forming.
Operating machinery: Utilize a range of machinery and tools including saws, drills, shears, presses, and welding equipment to fabricate metal components to precise specifications.
Welding and joining: Perform welding, soldering, and brazing operations to join metal pieces together, ensuring strong and durable connections.
Quality control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making any necessary adjustments or repairs as required.
Safety compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the safe operation of machinery.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to troubleshoot issues, optimize designs, and ensure project deadlines are met.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and any modifications made during the fabrication process.
