Garden Spot Village, part of Garden Spot Communities, is currently seeking a Medical Biller for Full Time Days, working 8am to 4pm.

Status: Full Time Days

Schedule: 8am-4pm

Salary Range: Up to $22/hour, based on experience.

What will I do in this role with Garden Spot?

• Assists the Medicare Coordinator in processing Medicare A & B billings, including Medicare Replacement billings, via hard copy/electronic system in a timely fashion for Garden Spot Communities, and additional companies as required.
• Assists the Medicaid Coordinator by performing various duties relating to the Medicaid program for Garden Spot Communities, and additional companies as required.
• Assists the Coordinators in Maintaining Medicare and Medicaid files.
• Assists the Coordinators in Monitoring the Accounts Receivable Aging Report and follows up as necessary.
• Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area or to requests from residents, staff personnel, etc., within given time frames. Documents follow-up to concerns in the resident's financial file, including contact person and information.
• Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department, as well as with other units and departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
• Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What do I need for this role with Garden Spot?

• One year of prior experience preferred.
• Familiar with Point Click Care and Microsoft Excel preferred. Training will be offered if needed.
• Proficient reading, writing, grammar skills; proficient mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient typing and data entry skills.
• An understanding of and willingness to live out our mission and values, providing compassionate person-centered care to all residents
