SALES REP (Asian Restaurant-Direct):
The Sales Representative (Asian Restaurant-Direct) is responsible for identifying market-specific growth opportunities to increasing sales, expanding AFC’s distribution, and developing collaborative, effective relationships with restaurants, trading, and wholesale distributors.
A successful candidate will understand the business capabilities, product offerings, and services to provide a holistic approach when identifying sales opportunities.
The Sales Representative will be focused on the Asian restaurant channel, and selling orders to restaurants, kitchens, cafes, trading partners and wholesalers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Rapidly expand sales distribution in restaurant channel by utilizing field sales experience and corporate calls
· Develop business opportunities targeting new restaurant accounts, supporting custom menu ideations, and executing launch plans
· Submit orders to Order Department timely while standardizing weekly deliveries with customers
· Collaborate with VP of Sales in implementing new sales strategies across direct network and distribution route
· Build long-term relationships with key local and chain accounts
· Create, manage, and be held accountable to sales forecasts
· Manage own performance metrics by monitoring daily activities and KPIs
· Oversee customer relationship within CRM, frequently updating for weekly management reporting
· Coordinate with Supply Chain on product forecasting & Shipping Department on delivery routes for order fulfillment
· Collaborate with Marketing Team for sales and marketing collateral
· Collaborate with Operations Manager to ensure fulfillment and customer service
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· 3+ years food-service or restaurant sales channel experience
· Results-driven, self-started, motivated, and strong problem-solving skills while keeping the customer
· Prior working relationships with restaurants preferred
· Proven ability to develop and foster collaborative relationships with operators, trading partners and distributors
· Excellent strategic planning, business development skills, and organization skills
· Clear, demonstrable understanding of go-to-market strategies
· Demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit and must be comfortable presenting in large audiences
· Able to demonstrate building a team and department, and critically think to create new processes
JOB TYPE, WEEKEND, AND TRAVEL:
· Full-time, Monday – Friday (weekends, as necessary)
· Willingness to work multiple weekends (as necessary)
· Limited out of town travel (as necessary)
