The candidate will primarily focus on pesticide and herbicide application, as well as leading noxious weed and nuisance wildlife management field teams.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Train, motivate and supervise a small crew to treat noxious weeds and/or nuisance wildlife while working long hours and managing high quality of work and crew morale.
- Follow requirements and regulations of local, county, state, and federal weed control programs, including requirements for pesticide storage, mixing, application, and disposal.
- Record and maintain appropriate records as required by the Colorado Department of Agriculture.
- Conduct periodic internal compliance audits on regulated pesticides and herbicides.
- Take lead in the Department of Agriculture compliance audits on behalf of Quandary's pesticide and herbicide application program.
- Perform noxious weed and wildlife management including mixing, loading, and applying herbicides and pesticides using motorized and/or hand-help equipment.
- Implement and execute compliance program through action plans to meet standards of audit findings.
- Maintain equipment daily including pre and post trip inspections along with making or coordinating repairs as needed.
- Keep up to date with recent technologies and methods for noxious weed and nuisance wildlife management.
- Identify new noxious weed and nuisance wildlife management opportunities, collaborating with management to create proposals.
- Collect and manage data using ESRI software, Arc GIS Field Maps (Survey 123), Google Earth, or similar platforms.
- Cross functionally supports all Quandary departments and projects, when assigned.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Key Capabilities/Skills:

- Demonstrated experience with increasing responsibilities, preferably leading teams in a management role.
- Possess working knowledge of relevant Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements (e.g., ESA, NEPA, CWA, MBTA)
- Self-sufficient, self-motivated, strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure of deadlines.
- Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a scientific and non-scientific audience.
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, work independently, and comply with company policies.
- Ability to work in locations that feature rough terrain and remote locations alone with minimal supervision.
- Key specialty areas preferred such as Wildlife Biology, Vegetation, Wetlands, etc.
- Interpret and manage spatial data using ESRI suite of products, Google Earth, and similar platforms.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, preferred.
- At least 3 Years of experience in a position requiring data management and interpretation.
- Experience in an engineering, consulting, or other technical field; or with contracting work where operational success depends on doing actual technical tasks.
- PMI Certifications, preferred.
- Health and safety certifications/knowledge, preferred.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting at desk completing office work.
- Fieldwork can experience inclement weather conditions, such as extremely hot or cold temperatures.
- Fieldwork can require daily travel with extended hours driving to and from client sites.
- Walking long distance over rugged terrain to field locations, be prepared to carry soil samples, shovels, or other similar equipment Ability to lift and carry heavy object, up to 50 pounds.

Expected Salary: $60,000-$70,000 DOE.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week average, schedule dictated by client needs
Work Location: Denver, CO: Reliably commute to Denver office daily.
