Accounting and Finance Director HYBRID
- Full-Time
SUMMARY
Oversees the daily operation of the business department and the client’s financial needs. This position assures compliance with all OAC policies and procedures, state, federal, Licensing and Certification Regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Process bi-weekly payroll and related reports for all employees.
- Process new resident admissions.
- Ensure billing of Medicaid and Resident Liability payments.
- Interacts with Accounting Department at Central Support Office.
- Maintain Resident Trust and Petty cash bank accounts including weekly check processing and monthly account reconciliation.
- Analyze month end reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statement as required.
- Oversee account analysis, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivables.
- Supervise Administrative staff as required.
- Oversee, research, establish, and maintain business contracts and leases.
- Review budget on a monthly basis, and assist in annual budget process.
- Train staff on budget issues and proper spending procedures.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the operational budget.
- Perform random site audits of personal resident funds.
- Maintain and oversee Capital Budget.
- Maintain fixed assets record and inventory.
- Process annual Representative Payee reports for all clients.
- Performs all other duties as directed by Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent (OR) five years experience as a full charge bookkeeper in a medical or similarly funded facility.
- A minimum of two years experience in accounting or related field, supervisory experience preferred; must possess organizational skills, communication skills, and knowledge of computer based accounting systems and Excel software usage.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; organizational skills; good moral character, professional appearance and an openness to learn and change.
- Valid driver’s license.
