Quantum Education Professionals is looking for a Behavior Specialist, school-based placement in Sarasota, FL. The position is for the 2024-25 school year for in-person learning.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • 1 year of RBT experience or equivalent experience
  • Gaining ABA hours to meet qualification to sit for boards to become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to identify behavioral concerns and develop intervention strategies in coordination with a BCBA supervisor
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create individualized behavior plans for students in coordination with a BCBA
  • Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and strategies to address behavioral challenges
  • Provide training and support to school staff on behavior management techniques and strategies
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior interventions and adjust as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior data.
  • Participate in team meetings and multidisciplinary evaluations to address student needs.
  • Stay current on research and best practices in behavioral interventions and education.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines in all interactions and interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative and supportive environment for students' behavioral development.Implement behavioral intervention programs to children
  • Participate in training activities as needed that provides instruction on Applied Behavior Analysis, discrete trial teaching techniques, management of challenging behaviors, child development and data collection techniques applicable to the client population. In addition to recording and reporting on the behavior of individual children as assigned
  • Communicate with supervisory staff
  • Develop functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention plan in coordination with a BCBA
  • Offer coaching to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and paraprofessionals in accordance with the mentor or supervising BCBA's instructions
  • Assist in the assurance that the physical surroundings and equipment are sanitary, orderly and free from conditions which may cause safety hazards.
  • Participate fully in the Quantum AMP mentorship program
  • Agree to repayment of supervision costs for early departure
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
