WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT

The Grant Coordinator will work as part of the Finance Department, reporting to the Controller. They will be responsible for gathering the appropriate support to process monthly grant reimbursements & ensuring that reimbursements are processed timely, accurately, and in accordance with any applicable standards and guidelines, whether federal, state, municipal, or private donor.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that grant reimbursement requests and report deadlines are met and work to ensure that expenditures comply with grantor regulations.
  • Prepare reimbursement requests as related to grant funds
  • Assist with the development of grant budgets as part of overall budget process
  • Assist in the streamlining of the grant reimbursement process
  • Prepare, gather, manage and file all records and other documents required by regulations and/or guidelines
  • Abide by all policies established by federal and state law and rule, Commissioner Rules and local policy as it applies to non-profit organizations.
  • Work with client-facing teams to ensure adherence to grant rules and regulations.
  • Provide tracking of grant spending and outstanding grant reimbursements or payments.
  • Attend ongoing grant related meetings with federal, state, local and private grantors
  • Attend professional development activities and required training specific to role-related activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and data on government and private grants

  • Participate in coaching sessions with supervisor a minimum of one time per week.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Good strategic/critical thinker, self-starter, goal-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to operate with purpose, urgency and accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment -- with particular attention to detail and organization
  • Strong relationship-builder
  • Competence in Excel and other Microsoft applications as well as Adobe
  • Competence in Sharepoint and other applications
  • Regular and predictable attendance is necessary.
  • Maintain confidential information and adhere to all policies and procedures regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have a valid State Driver’s License, provide proof of automobile insurance coverage to employer at all times and have an automobile to be used daily.

OSHA CATEGORY:

This position performs tasks that may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.Training will be provided per Standard Operating Procedure for your area of operation. All FFA employees are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis B vaccination series.
