Upper Elementary and Middle School Teacher - Steamboat Christian Center

Teaching Position:

Steamboat Christian Center is looking for talented and energetic applicants holding a minimum of a B.A. in education/child development or related academic specialty areas (Math, Sciences, Writing, etc). Teaching certification and advanced coursework/degree highly desired. Must have a desire to teach in a faith-based environment and equip this generation of learners to develop the childs' identity in Christ. Qualified candidates must be able to learn and implement the SCC's engaging and experiential curriculum, as well as utilize the applicants own creativity to create project and service based learning applications. Must possess strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with other staff members in order to create a cohesive learning environment. Innovation and flexibility are key, as classrooms may combine up to two grade levels. Candidates must be highly creative and comfortable with classroom management, differentiated instruction, lesson planning, progress monitoring, parent-caregiver conferencing and have a strong desire to ignite curiosity and a love for learning within their students. Grade-level and/or teaching subject specialty is highly preferred, but not required. Any special interests or talents to enhance the learning community such as that in sports, outdoor education, music, foreign language and arts are welcomed.
