Call Center Pharmacy Tech Summary and Highlights:

The Call Center Pharmacy Tech takes in-bound calls from providers pharmacies members etc. providing professional and courteous phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process.

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Call Center Pharmacy Tech Details and Compensation:

  • Location: Remote
  • Payrate: $21.24/hr
  • Required Availability: 8-hour shift between 8a-830p CST

Call Center Pharmacy Tech Responsibilities:

  • Maintains complete timely and accurate documentation of reviews.
  • Transfers all clinical questions escalations and judgement calls to the pharmacist team.
  • Assist with other duties as needed to include but not limited to: outbound calls reviewing and processing Prior Authorizations received via fax and ePA monitoring and responding to inquiries via department mailboxes and other duties as assigned by the leadership team.

Call Center Pharmacy Tech Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Attendance mandatory for first 90 days
  • 1+ year of pharmacy technician experience
  • Must be licensed as a pharmacy technician per state regulations
  • MUST be nationally certified as a pharmacy technician
  • MUST have 1+ year of HIGH VOLUME call center experience
