Electrical Assembly Technician - Panel Builder This is a FULL-TIME position. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled full-time Assembly Technician to produce high-quality custom electrical components, fixtures, and more while following detailed instructions to meet safety and quality requirements. Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work This is a full-time position. Standard flex days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, the Assembly Technician is expected to dedicate the time required to meet the company’s strategic plan when needed. Not only will you be a part of an outstanding team here at TPI, but as a TPI employee you will enjoy the same fantastic benefits our current team is already receiving, such as: • Competitive compensation • Comprehensive medical and prescription coverage • Optional dental and vision coverage • FSA and HSA Options • 401(k) + Match • Company-paid Short And Long-term Disability • Company-paid Life Insurance • Voluntary pet insurance • Generous PTO Benefits and Bereavement Days • 7+ Paid Holidays • Employee Recognition • Company Events • Performance Based Reviews • Voluntary EAS Program Responsibilities: • Assemble mechanical and/or electronic subassemblies or products with precision and attention to detail • Conduct thorough high and low-voltage product testing to ensure quality and safety standards are met • Perform product testing during the final inspection phase to guarantee flawless functionality • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to optimize efficiency and productivity • Manage raw materials and work in process within the work area efficiently • Complete all necessary production paperwork accurately and in a timely manner • Assist in physical inventory audits by meticulously counting and tagging parts • Execute all tasks in a safe manner following established procedures and guidelines • Be prepared to undertake any additional duties as assigned Qualifications: • The Electrical Assembly Technician - First Shift position in Sterling Heights, MI, US requires a High School Diploma or equivalent • Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience • Strong mechanical aptitude is essential for this role • Effective problem-solving skills and clear communication with co-workers and management are necessary • Ability to identify various purchased hardware is a must • Candidates must be capable of multitasking and retaining assembly training skills • Proficiency in reading prints and identifying parts on a BOM is required • Comfort working independently as well as in team settings is important • Good judgment and the ability to follow directions are critical for success in this role • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, are necessary • Attention to detail is a key requirement for the position • Physical abilities such as bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, grabbing, turning, twisting, and stooping are essential • Handling small parts or hand tools with hands is part of the job requirements Compensation: $18 hourly
