Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM EST
Location: Hybrid - Chelsea, MA (40% on-premises, 60% maximum remote work allowed)
Travel: No travel required
Overview:
The Client provides enterprise-level information technology services, including network management and security, computer operations, application hosting, desktop provisioning and management, and modern digital services to internal stakeholders and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Security Operations Center (SOC) is seeking an Implementation Lead to drive the successful design, deployment, and operationalization of vulnerability management, monitoring, detection, and response capabilities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for seamless integration and collaboration.
- Develop a roadmap with timelines and action plans for implementing new security capabilities.
- Set expectations with accountable stakeholders for completing assigned work.
- Create thorough and accurate reports, providing status updates on projects and presenting findings to senior leadership.
- Provide strong leadership and cross-functional stakeholder communications.
- Build relationships with key teams including client's sub-groups, Executive Branch Agencies, and security/IT vendors.
- Develop metrics and reporting to help the organization understand progress in improving security posture.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 8-10 years of experience in security operations, incident response, or related field.
- Strong understanding of SOC technologies including vulnerability management, EDR, and SIEM platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of JIRA for building out an agile product development process (a plus).
- Project management and business analysis experience preferred.
- Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework and regulatory directives related to cybersecurity.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to develop effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Effective leadership, teamwork, and delegation abilities.
- Experience with agile methodologies (a plus).
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Able to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working in a complex, distributed enterprise environment.
- Strong sense of personal accountability.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
