Job Description

As a Clinical Dietitian on our team, you will:

Screens, assesses, develops and implements nutrition care plans based on patient's nutritional and educational needs that follow departmental guidelines for timely, quality nutrition care.
Uses evidence based standards where applicable.
Participates in outpatient nutrition programs and clinics when applicable.
Actively participates in projects and process improvement activities as assigned.

Duties:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans
- Perform diagnostic evaluations, including analyzing lab results and medical histories
- Provide nutrition education and health coaching to patients, families, and caregivers
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Monitor and adjust nutrition therapy based on patient progress and changing needs
- Assist with the management of tube feeding and other specialized nutrition support
- Stay up-to-date with current research and guidelines in clinical nutrition
- Document patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a dietitian
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and medical nutrition therapy
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with tube feeding, alimentation, and other specialized nutrition support is preferred
