Clinical Dietitian PRN Inpatient Care
- Per Diem
As a Clinical Dietitian on our team, you will:
- Screens, assesses, develops and implements nutrition care plans based on patient's nutritional and educational needs that follow departmental guidelines for timely, quality nutrition care.
- Uses evidence based standards where applicable.
- Participates in outpatient nutrition programs and clinics when applicable.
- Actively participates in projects and process improvement activities as assigned.
Duties:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans
- Perform diagnostic evaluations, including analyzing lab results and medical histories
- Provide nutrition education and health coaching to patients, families, and caregivers
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Monitor and adjust nutrition therapy based on patient progress and changing needs
- Assist with the management of tube feeding and other specialized nutrition support
- Stay up-to-date with current research and guidelines in clinical nutrition
- Document patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a dietitian
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and medical nutrition therapy
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with tube feeding, alimentation, and other specialized nutrition support is preferred
