About the Role: The IT Manager is responsible for maintaining the organization’s computer network and devices with established data security practices and appropriate controls.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the LAN/WAN administration and maintenance in concert with third party support vendor.
  • Responsible for PC related and printer related repair, software patch/update installation, Antivirus updates, Backups, Internet monitoring, help desk activity and general diagnostics.
  • Resolve IT/ system problems and ensure that standards for quality and quantity of work are met.
  • Develop and monitor policies and procedures for system operations.
  • Manage Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing needs and strategies.
  • Researches and implements technological strategic solutions.
  • Meet with corporate staff to determine the impact of proposed changes to applications, hardware or software on computer operations and service to users.
  • Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels.
  • Evaluate proposed IT projects to assess adequacy of existing hardware and recommend purchase of equipment.
  • Manage all IT & communication vendor contracts to budgeted expectations.
  • Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software.
  • Key member of the team that reviews all other company security requirements, including Building/Premise Security.
  • Identify education and training requirements for employees.
  • Monitor the company’s web activities and coordinate enhancements with third party vendor.
  • Responsible for setup of new users’ passwords and all system permissions.
  • Support Company with all Audio/Visual Equipment needs.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is not responsible for managing.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network, and systems administration, databases and data storage systems and phone systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Office 365: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Cognito and others as needed.
  • Project Management experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Experience in interacting with all levels and departments within a company.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial and customer information.
  • Experienced in leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
  • Must work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as a team.
  • Strong multi-tasking, follow-through, and organizational skills with the ability to pay close attention to detail under strict guidelines.
  • Strong Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritize.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with major course work in business systems, accounting, management, logistics or any other related field. Three (3) years professional experience in Information Technology.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other employees of the organization. Requires excellent grammar and spelling.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Requires a valid driver’s license.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment, such as a computer and keyboard, calculator, photocopier, telephone, cell phone, etc. Requires proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

The noise level in the work environment is that found in a “normal office environment; noise levels during visits to other locations in the building may be moderate and occasionally loud. Occasional travel may be necessary.
