Medical Doctor (Psychiatry)

Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 40 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include child & adolescent psychiatric, medical, substance abuse, residential, and therapy services, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center provides a full continuum of care which includes a trauma-informed environment for both patients and staff.

We are currently seeking a Medical Doctor (Psychiatry) to provide clinical services to ensure the psychiatric and essential general medical needs of the clients are met. To also provide psychiatric services required by the center clients, to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Job Duties Include but are not limited to:

• Provide for medical services and psychiatric examination, diagnoses and treatment of clients.
• Provides other treatment procedures, as appropriate.
• Prescribes and monitors medication to clients.
• Participates in quality assurance functions as required by agency policies and organizational structure; provides clinical case supervision and consultation to non-medical staff, as required.
• Complete documentation and medical reports on all treatment of clients.
• Participates in developing objectives, policies and procedures regarding medical services and medical components of activities including research, service evaluation and quality assurance.
• Contributes time, skills and expertise as a member of the medical staff to address and resolve issues, implement projects and coordinate efforts of the agency.
• Participates in staff development functions.
• May participate in community work
• Participates in agency-wide projects.
• Work with co-located clinicians to coordinate care for clients

• MD or DO with satisfactory completion of an approved psychiatric residency
• Must be licensed in the State of Ohio
• Must have board certification or board eligibility in psychiatry, or be a fourth-year resident at UTMC with their approval
