The superintendent will handle the daily work activities onsite. They will fill out daily logs and handle daily deliveries. /they will also be required to report to weekly meetings both internal and with the customer. They will be responsible for approving on site work invoices. They will work along side with the project manager to produce look ahead schedules, schedule progress reports, and deliveries. /Coordinate subcontractors from all trades to work efficiently and to keep the schedule. Manage material to keep up with onsite needs.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to read and understand specifications for all trades
- Daily logs and communication
- Receive and manager multiple deliveries daily
- Must be able to deliver under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Ability to travel throughout all areas of constructions sites during all phases of projects
- Work daily with the GC to communicate and problem solve
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints, specifications, and statements of work related to each project. Must be able to read plans and take offs
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or related field
- Experience as a supervisor or manager
- Familiarity with CRM platforms
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- 7+ years experience as a construction superintendent of the commercial or residential construction industry, experience with general contractor preferred
- Knowledge of wood frame multi-family construction required
- OSHA 30-hour training
Summary
The Field Superintendent position requires a strong foundation in core skills such as OSHA knowledge, experience with construction management software, proven management and supervising capabilities, construction expertise, and budgeting proficiency. Additionally, premium skills in ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera, and experience with contracts and HeavyBid are highly valued. The ability to read blueprints, estimate construction projects, maintain quality control, and interpret schematics are also relevant skills for this role.
In this leadership position, the Field Superintendent will oversee commercial and residential construction projects, ensuring high-quality work, adherence to safety standards (including OSHA 30 certification), and excellent customer service. Experience in sales and multifamily construction will be beneficial in this role.
