Job Overview: As a QA Analyst/Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of two related applications - "Geo Spatial" and a Data Pipeline. You will work closely with the development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute test plans, identify and report bugs, and ensure that our products/services meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop Test Plans and Strategies:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand product requirements and design comprehensive test plans and strategies.
Define test objectives, scope, and timelines for each testing phase.

Execute Test Cases:

Execute test cases (including negative test cases) and scenarios manually or using automated testing tools.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing as required.
Identify, document, and track bugs/issues using issue tracking systems.

Automated Testing:

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks/tools such as Cypress, Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

Collaborate with Development Team:

Work closely with developers to understand system architecture, technical specifications, and potential areas of risk.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and potential quality issues.

Quality Assurance Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve the QA process, tools, and methodologies.
Implement best practices for testing, including test data management, test environment setup, and test execution.

Documentation and Reporting:

Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Generate and communicate test metrics and reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern and improvement.

Training and Mentoring:

Train and mentor junior QA team members on testing techniques, tools, and processes.
Share knowledge and best practices within the QA team and across departments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a QA Analyst/Lead or similar role in software development/testing.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python (ideal), or similar.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or similar are a plus.
