We are seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to become a part of the team in Fort Bliss, Texas. You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services in accordance with
privileges granted by the MTF (e.g., supervise and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems; provide immunizations; diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated).

2. Provide care for infants and their families in the Delivery Room, Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit, Step Down Nursery, and Special Care Nursery, and other hospital areas as needed
under the direct supervision of the Medical Director.

3. Assist in the case management of the most complex neonatal patient through assessing,
monitoring and evaluating care, i.e. disease process, comorbidities and other ongoing
issues.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of recent experience working as an NNP
  • Basic Life Support, PALS, NRP, & (STABLE)
  • Board Certification: Certified in the specialty required by the TO as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association. Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse.
