Accounting Clerk

High volume auto dealership in Memphis, TN  is seeking an experienced dealership accountant with at least two years of dealership accounting experience. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic with strong dealership accounting knowledge and a proven ability to succeed.

Job description:

Handle the daily activities of a proven accounting clerk, ensure timely processing, work closely with management to effectively administer transaction processing.

Job responsibilities include:

• Perform routine clerical accounting duties within a fast-paced dealership
• Verify and post general ledger transactions
• Reconciling bank statements with the general ledger
• Reconciling credit card statements
• Administering loan payments and securing loan funds
• Review and balance scheduled accounts and analyze variances
• Participate in month-end close activities

Job requirements:

• Dealership accounting experience required
• Self-starter that is upbeat and outgoing. 
• Exceptional communication including email, telephone, and in-person contacts.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of basic financial, tax, and generally accepted accounting principles.

Hours:

Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with minimal overtime.
