HRU Technical Resources is seeking an Manufacturing Engineer to assist a large automobile corporation in Lockport, NY.

Type of Role: 12 Month Contract (Extension OR direct hire possibility)

Schedule: ONSITE M-F 8-5

Compensation: $28.00-$32.00/HR

Description: HRU Technical Resources seeks a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to bolster operations at a prominent automobile corporation in Lockport, NY. This pivotal role entails optimizing production processes through meticulous analysis of time, motion, and methods, aiming to elevate efficiency and uphold stringent quality standards. Collaborating closely with management and engineering teams, the incumbent will interpret intricate engineering documentation to ensure adherence to specifications while charting workflow and material handling strategies for enhanced productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity, analytical acumen, and superb communication skills, alongside proficiency in blueprint interpretation and CAD software utilization. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Study time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rate and improve efficiency.

• Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.

• Read worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets, to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications.

• Aid in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.

• Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering OR related field

• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

• Team player and detail oriented.

• Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.

• Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
