Area Sales Manager - Southwest

We're seeking a driven, self-motivated sales professional to boost our customer base. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for pursuing leads in our database, as well as discovering new prospects through traditional marketing techniques, digital marketing, and social media covering southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, & Colorado. While you will often collaborate with the sales team, you must be able to work independently. Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years of sales experience. Auto Finance Industry experience is a plus, but we are willing to consider applicants who have a substantial background in successful execution of sales strategies.

What You'll Do

• Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media
• Build networks and spheres of influence in order to grow prospect lists
• Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
• Set up meetings with potential clients to negotiate and close deals
• Prepare and deliver presentations on products/services
• Reports to the Regional Sales Director and responsible for growing sales and maintaining business relationships with our customers in the assigned territory.
• Handle client complaints or concerns
• Participate in events and conferences on behalf of the company
• Meet or exceed KPI’s

What You Need

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years of sales experience
• Substantial portfolio of successful sales deals preferably in the auto or auto finance space
• Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and customer relationship tools such as Salesforce
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to travel
