Day Porter

Summary of Position

Perform custodial duties by maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas.

Role and Responsibilities

• Clean 2,500 square feet within an hours time.
• Obtain supplies and stock cart with cleaning supplies from storage room.
• Mix chemical solutions in safe and effective manner.
• Daily clean restroom, toilets, sinks urinals, mirrors, and fixtures, using toilet brush, sponge, disinfectant, and cleaning solutions.
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum as needed.
• Clean doors, walls, windows and all horizontal surfaces. Empty trash by removal to designated areas. Set-up of meeting rooms.
• Is flexible and adjusts to new and unusual work situations.
• Moves from one task to the other without prompting.
• Actions and attitudes encourage a positive work environment.
• Meets attendance and punctuality requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Must be able to lift & carry 35 lbs.
• Must have 6 months previous employment experience in custodial commercial type building.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English.
• Previous experience utilizing a floor buffer.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check (subject to requirements of assigned site client).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds at times.
• Must be able to stand, bend and twist for eight hours.
