Director of Product Management (Remote)

Vertex Software is on the lookout for a seasoned Director of Product Management to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in developing a platform that meets our commitment to solving critical customer issues and propels Vertex into its next growth phase. The Director of Product Management will be integral in steering our product strategies and collaborating across teams to design, refine, and launch our solutions into the marketplace.

In this role, you will champion the creation of user-centric tools and technologies, empowering developers to unleash the potential of 3D product data within their organizations. A cornerstone of this position is forging solid customer connections to ensure our solutions are precisely addressing real-world challenges. You'll join a cohort of skilled engineers dedicated to delivering superior experiences for the Vertex developer community.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Guide, motivate, and expand a team of exceptional product managers.

Strategy and Roadmap Development: Collaborate with product leadership to devise strategic plans and roadmaps for our platform's evolution.

Customer and Market Insight: Engage with customers and stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their requirements and limitations.

Industry Expertise: Cultivate comprehensive knowledge of our sector, clientele, and competitive landscape, serving as a reliable resource for our teams.

Technical Acumen: Grasp technical specifics vital for new initiatives, ensuring the engineering team is primed for success.

Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product development process, from user research and ideation to the delivery of groundbreaking solutions.

Go-to-Market Collaboration: Work closely with product marketing to formulate and implement market entry strategies and materials.

Market Analysis: Regularly assess market data, engage with customers alongside sales teams, and evaluate outcomes to stay ahead of market trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
• 3-5 years within an agile product environment, including 2+ years focused on software and/or developer platforms.
• Demonstrated leadership in guiding Product Management teams.
• Strong collaborative skills with a history of delivering products and APIs from concept through to launch.
• Robust problem-solving abilities and business insight.
• Experience in coding within enterprise settings; familiarity with visualization technologies like OpenGL, DirectX, or Vulkan is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical details in an accessible manner.
• A proactive growth mindset, ready to learn from challenges and drive Vertex's mission forward.
• Skilled in data analysis and insights derivation.
• Experience in developing or contributing to go-to-market strategies.

Location
This position is remote. Travel to customer sites and other company locations may be required.
