Concrete Foreman

Position Overview: The Concrete and Excavation Foreman at UpBuilders LLC will have a hands-on role in overseeing all aspects of concrete and excavation projects. This position is critical to our success as a small company, and we are looking for someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and lead by example.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead a small team of concrete and excavation workers, setting the pace and demonstrating best practices for quality and safety.
2. Take ownership of project planning and execution, from excavation to concrete finishing, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
3. Work closely with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and expectations, and communicate these effectively to the crew.
4. Operate and maintain heavy equipment as needed, and be willing to pitch in with manual labor as required to keep projects on track.
5. Monitor project progress and budget, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and minimize costs.
6. Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
7. Manage materials inventory and equipment maintenance to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
8. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, mentoring team members and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience in concrete work and excavation, with a track record of leadership and hands-on involvement.
• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and machinery, with relevant certifications and licenses.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.
