Growth oriented multi-disciplined Mechanical Contracting firm is currently seeking a Commercial Account Representative to Support and meet the overall sales objectives by driving the sale of the company's mechanical contracting capabilities; utilizing selling, pricing, and management skills to support IFS in securing contracts to satisfy the client's needs and achieve a fair profit for the company. Integrated Facility Services is a leading mechanical contractor with more than 55 years history serving the St. Louis, MO metropolitan area, as well as an office serving outstate Missouri.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Create new client relationships, while effectively maintaining established client bases; responsible for maintaining excellent client relations, this includes responding promptly to client requests and maintaining frequent client contact.
  • Work with customers to design and quote new system installations, replacement, or system resolutions.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction supervision to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
  • Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
  • Prepare estimates for use in selecting equipment, material, vendors or subcontractors
  • Confer with engineers, designers, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
  • Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project
  • Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
  • Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to construct or sub-contract components
  • Work within company policy as outlined in the Company Employee Handbook and in compliance with the Human Resources Policy Manual, Corporate Safety Manual and OSHA Safety rules
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Project Management

  • Coordinate job scheduling, purchasing and shipment of products/materials, manpower, installation, monitoring of job progress, and project close out
  • Attend job site meetings and internal meetings such as Cost to Complete
  • Manage and execute contract change orders
  • Maintain and manage accurate project projection reports
  • Utilize accounting software for assistance with tracking costs, billing, receivables

Qualifications:


  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems in general
  • Previous HVAC experience or equivalent education
  • Proven track record of sales generation via self-generated leads
  • Ability to use estimating software
  • Ability to self-start and manage multiple project concurrently
  • Ability to produce system concepts, designs, and schematic drawings
  • Familiarity with applicable hospital codes, mechanical codes, etc.
  • Punctual, dependable, excellent attendance habits
  • Honesty, attention to detail, ability to keep trade information confidential
  • Professional appearance
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create and maintain friendly relationships with customers and co-workers
  • Ability to use standard office equipment including a computer and multi-extension telephone system
