Job description

Kinetik is strategically located in the heart of the Delaware Basin in the Permian, one of the fastest growing areas for oil and gas development in the world. We provide the gathering, compression, processing, transportation and water management services required to bring natural gas, natural gas liquids and crude oil to market and are dedicated to providing the best service and netback for our customers. We are driven to be best-in-class and committed to growing our existing assets in the Permian Basin through both greenfield and acquisition opportunities.
Kinetik employees have decades of experience in West Texas and provide all the important services our customers need to deliver gas and crude oil production to market, which include gathering, transportation, compression, processing and produced water management.
Work Location: Midland, TX
Schedule: Mon. - Fri.; 8am - 5pm, after hours as needed due to business necessity
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Commercial Representative is responsible for supporting, developing and executing the commercial strategy and transactions involving Kinetik's gas, crude and produced water midstream businesses in Texas and New Mexico. This position collaboratively executes the business plan and growth strategy that will enable the company to optimally commercialize and develop new and existing assets and is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers. Specific tasks and job duties include:
  • Establish and maintain deep customer relationships centered on a partnership mindset to establish Kinetik as the preferred midstream partner in the Delaware Basin
  • Work closely with the commercial team to support and execute the commercial strategy
  • Engage with new and existing customers and consummate commercial transactions
  • Contribute to a strong, dynamic, and highly motivated cohesiveness among the commercial, engineering, accounting finance and operations teams
  • Coordinate projects with engineering to ensure facilities are completed on time for customers
  • Negotiate and draft commercial agreements for gas, crude and produced water
  • Review and approve settlement statements and other relevant data applicable to customer settlement and payment
  • Responsible for staying up to date on industry trends and customer and competitor updates
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or higher degree preferred
  • Two (2) years' experience in a midstream commercial, finance, marketing or business development role is a plus
  • Contract administration and negotiation skills is a plus
  • Permian Basin experience is a plus

Working Conditions:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
  • Occasional travel to visit customers and/or Kinetik plants and worksites as needed
  • Available outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessity

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above.
  • Will require lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 15 lbs. in a safe manner on an occasional basis
