Qualifications
The Delivery Truck Driver position is ideal for an energetic person who likes to work outside, has a good driving record, and is experienced in driving Box Trucks, Straight Trucks, and Cargo Vans.
The Delivery Truck Driver is responsible for safely driving our non-CDL company vehicles in the Greater Baltimore/Washington area, delivering and installing our products with a team of field personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all trucks are loaded / unloaded and secured properly.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse and trucks in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Properly supervise all helpers assigned to ensure compliance with company objectives.
- Deliver & install tents & related party items to achieve company objectives.
- Assist as needed in the overall operation of the store.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum One Year prior driving experience a must.
- Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly. The ability to speak other languages is a plus.
- Must pass company drug screen and DOT Physical.
- Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
- Must have a full range of motion and dexterity.
Responsibilities: Safely operate a Box/Straight Truck to transport goods from the warehouse to various locations - Load and unload cargo using manual methods or equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks - Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the company - Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a good driving record - Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role - Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles - Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws - Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines - Physical stamina to load and unload cargo and perform repetitive tasks - Good communication skills to interact with warehouse staff, customers, and other drivers
