CAS SENIOR MANAGER

Location:  Colorado Springs, CO- This position is in office and not remote eligible.

Compensation: $106,600-$130,000 per year

What We’re Looking For:

  • CPA license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 7+ years related experience, preferably within a CPA firm.
  • Prior significant supervisory experience required.
  • Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor with expert level proficiency in QuickBooks (both online and desktop)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Reader/Pro

 What You’ll Be Doing:

As a CAS Senior Manager at Stockman Kast Ryan + Co., you will plan and direct all activities of the Client Accounting/Advisory Services department. You will be responsible for accounting operations and systems, analysis and reporting preparation, and leading accounting professionals and staff.

 Essential Duties:

  • Build training platforms and programs for various staff levels.
  • Plan and execute department growth both internally and externally.
  • Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
  • Oversee preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
  • Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
  • Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information on the annual external audit.
  • Presents recommendations to management on short and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Provides financial analysis with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
