Areta Crowell Wellness Recovery Center has an opening for a Program Director. The team includes mental health clinicians, counselors, case managers, peer specialists, and an administrative support team to help people change their lives for the better.
Hours: This is a salaried, non-exempt position. Must be available on a 24-hour basis for program consultation and crisis intervention if needed.
Salary: $105,000 to $115,000 per year
Education: Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in a mental health-related field, such as Psychology, Social Work or Counseling required
Licensure: Licensed or license-eligible with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as a Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Psychologist with the California Board of Psychology required

As the Program Director, you will:
Managed and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the assigned program, to include all legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, staff management, client care, and quality assurance and control.
- Provide overall management and coordination of all program operations and services.
- Provide management and supervision of: service delivery and client care; contract compliance according to County, State, and CARF regulations; budget monitoring; employees and consultants; staff training and development; and quality control and safety procedures.
- Oversee all admissions to the program and coordinates care with other mental health providers and community resources.
- Serve as a representative and liaison within the community providing outreach and education regarding program services.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders
- At least one year of experience in a management level position, preferred
- Strong clinical skills and an ability to manage high stress and fast-paced environments
- Ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
- A valid California driver’s license in good standing and eligibility to be an approved CRF driver is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position. In addition, proof of insurance is required prior to driving personal vehicles on company business.
