Survey CAD Technician

Davis & Floyd is seeking a CAD Technician to join our Charleston, SC Office! The CAD Technician is responsible for utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare survey plans and provide survey information. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with strong organizational and time management skills to support our team. This candidate will work closely with a licensed Professional Land Surveyor and other experienced survey professionals.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare boundary surveys, topographic surveys, as-built surveys and construction staking plans
• Prepare digital terrain models and contouring
• Search public records for property and right-of-way information
• Read and understand surveying and engineering plans

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering or CAD Drafting from a two-year college or technical school
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience in Civil 3D preferred
• Honest, dependable, thorough, and strong work ethic
• Computational Skills
• Self-motivated and organized with good decision making skills
• Flexible and adaptable to change
• Land Surveying or Engineering experience preferred
