Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
Job Type: Exempt
Schedule: Day or Night Shift (Hours TBD by Manager)
Reports To: Assistant PC Manager
Direct Reports: PC Hourly Team Members
Job Summary
This position is responsible for the Shipping and Receiving function of an assigned shift at a designated manufacturing site ensuring shipping and receiving schedules are timely met daily .
Duties and Responsibilities
• Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Develop an effective and responsive team that adheres to established processes and work instructions. • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. • Determine space requirements and position of shipment in containers and trucks and lays out position of shipment. • Determine routing and compliance to carrier/customer schedules • Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded containers and truck doors. • Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair. • Maintain vehicle and forklift equipment maintenance reports. • Direct movement of finished goods to storage and shipping areas. • Compile records of unfilled orders and escalates shortages. • Posts weight and shipping charges. • Prepares bills of lading. • Supervises adherence to Standard Work Instructions (SWI) of all sequencing and shipping/picking personnel. • May assist workers in shipping and receiving activities. • Ensures team adherence to company policies
• Plan, schedules, and leads team meetings and training sessions as required • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement appropriate changes within scope of responsibility. • Additional responsibilities may be added.

Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
· Highschool Diploma. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience:
· Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing, quality, production or logistics including 1year prior supervisory experience. Automotive industry preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Computer Skills:
· Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and in the use of e-mail, web browser applications.
· Intermediate to advanced experience with MRP/ERP systems
Mathematical Abilities:
· Intermediate-advanced math skills.
Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:
· Strong analytical, planning skills and critical thinking ability required with orientation for continuous improvement.
· Ability to understand and follow written technical procedures/instructions
· Ability to effectively prepare business and technical documentation such as procedures, reports, presentations, etc.
Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning)
· Ability to read, write and speak English
· Highly effective, articulate communication skills (verbal & written) with strong interpersonal effectiveness and the ability to work with all levels in the organization, with customer and across cultures
· Bilingual English-Spanish preferred
Other Skills (Technical, or Other special knowledge and abilities)
· Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage a variety of projects and tasks.
· Take initiative, approach others in a positive and constructive manner, and work well independently to achieve results.
Physical Requirements:
· 10% of the time will be spent doing desk related work on a computer and working with basic office equipment (PC, fax and printer, phones) while the remaining 90% will be spent on the production floor completing work related to the position
· Must be able to lift 25 pounds individually and team lift 50 pounds
· Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others. Must wear all personal protective equipment where required.
