Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Repair and install electrical/IT circuits.
  • Repair and maintain company equipment as needed.
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance of company equipment.
  • Carry out facility & building maintenance as needed.
  • Follow safety rules and work safely.
  • Perform project work as assigned: Install new equipment, systems, processes as designed. Make modifications to equipment, building, processes as designed.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and determine spare parts needed.
  • Use a computer and the Internet to obtain operating and maintenance manuals, spare parts lists, potential vendors for parts, information as appropriate to complement maintenance effort.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Skills include general mechanical, general building repairs, 120V & 480V 3 phase electrical, general instrumentation knowledge, pneumatic circuits, plumbing/piping, general metal working skills, carpentry, HVAC duct work, masonry (brick work), concrete, MIG & TIG welding, drywall installation & repair, rigging, roof repair, lawn work, and painting.
  • Experience operating a lift truck, scissors lift, articulating boom arm lift.
  • Experience using rental equipment, such as concrete saw, concrete grinder, demolition hammer, generator, air compressor, etc. is desirable.
  • Experience using a computer which includes email and Internet use.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Education

REQUIRED: High school diploma or G.E.D.; Electrical training and/or experience.


PREFERRED: Experience in a manufacturing environment and/or chemical industry; Diploma or post high school training certificates for welding, pneumatics or related subjects; Knowledge in automation system and process control

  • Able to wear safety shoes, goggles and/or safety glasses.
  • Able to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and platforms and work 30 ft. above the ground.
  • Able to carry loads of up to 70 lbs. on shoulders or in arms.
