SUMMARY OF PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Machining Equipment to manufacture both metallic and non-metallic components. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor machine operations to verify the accuracy of machine settings and detect any malfunctions or machining deviations using precision measurement instruments. Make adjustments to maintain part accuracy.
- Perform routine Quality Control inspections and document findings throughout the production process.
- Make necessary edits to CNC programs as needed.
- Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability.
- De-burr and clean parts to meet specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and optimal functioning of equipment, tooling, and parts to ensure efficient production.
- Adhere to safety regulations and work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries.
EXPERIENCE/SKILL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:
- Familiarity with Swiss Lathe Machining
- Proficiency in G and M codes for programming (Espirit), editing, setting up, and operating Citizen or other CNC equipment.
- Familiarity with production CNC operations.
- Ability to interpret engineering prints and work instructions.
- Accurate measurement skills for Quality Control purposes.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with great attention to detail.
- Advanced Manufacturing/ Precision Machining degrees/certificates or equivalent experience.
Working Conditions: This role is based at our facility located at 14062 Riverport Dr., where you will work in a climate-controlled, non-smoking environment. It may require day or evening shifts, as well as occasional overtime.
Physical Requirements: The job may involve extended periods of standing and the ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
