HDPE Fusion Technician

Mersino is looking for a HDPE Fusion Technician to join our dewatering team. Our Drillers are involved in setting up and operating drilling rigs to drill deep wells. Candidates should be highly motivated, capable of working flexible hours. This position will travel up to 75% of the time.

Company Description

We are seeking an HDPE Fusion Technician for this location. The overall responsibility of this position requires working at customer job sites fusing HDPE pipe and fittings in various applications including waterworks, commercial construction sites, mining applications, and power plants.

The ideal candidates will be detail oriented, well-articulated, eager to learn, eager to teach, able to keep detailed notes, safely operate equipment and conditions, and manage expenses.

Job Description

• Identify installation and/or repair needs
• During installation of pipe or repair of systems, determine the best installation method and all equipment necessary
• Customize HDPE piping systems and repair systems to customer needs
  Electro fuse and structure welds
  Maintain fusion equipment and conduct routine inspection of fusion equipment
• Communicates with customers regarding needs and equipment
• Maintain a clean work area
  Adhere to Mersino’s quality control and safety standards
  

Qualifications

• One year experience in electro fuse and structure welding preferred
• Demonstrated ability to service and maintain fusion equipment
  Possess a valid driver’s license and have a clear driving record
• Ability to operate forklift preferred
• Ability to travel as needed to complete work
