Job Title: Mold Polisher

Overview: Join our team as a Mold Polisher and become an integral part of our manufacturing process. Your meticulous attention to detail and expertise in finishing and polishing molds will ensure the quality and performance of our products, including injection molds. With your precision and craftsmanship, you'll play a vital role in delivering top-notch results. This position demands proficiency in manual polishing techniques and a comprehensive understanding of various materials and surface finishes.

Responsibilities:

1. Mold Finishing: Execute manual polishing, grinding, and finishing operations on molds to attain the desired surface quality and texture.
2. Surface Preparation: Prepare mold surfaces for polishing by eliminating imperfections, burrs, and irregularities using appropriate tools and techniques.
3. Polishing Techniques: Employ a range of polishing tools, abrasives, compounds, and equipment to achieve the required surface finish, encompassing high-gloss, matte, and textured finishes.
4. Quality Control: Inspect molds throughout the polishing process to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards, including dimensional accuracy and surface smoothness.
5. Material Knowledge: Demonstrate an understanding of the properties of diverse mold materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, plastics) and select suitable polishing methods and abrasives accordingly.
6. Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines when operating polishing equipment and handling hazardous materials. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with mold designers, engineers, and production personnel to resolve any polishing-related issues and enhance mold performance.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Proven track record as a Mold Polisher or similar role in a manufacturing environment, supported by a robust portfolio showcasing proficiency in manual polishing techniques.
2. Skills: Exceptional hand-eye coordination, keen attention to detail, and adept manual dexterity. Proficiency in utilizing polishing tools and equipment such as sanders, grinders, buffing wheels, and polishing compounds.
3. Knowledge: Familiarity with different mold materials, surface finishes, and polishing methods. Understanding of geometric tolerances and proficiency in blueprint reading.
4. Safety Consciousness: Dedication to upholding a safe work environment and adherence to established safety procedures. Knowledge of handling chemicals and hazardous materials safely.
