Data Analyst (Navy)

Akira Technologies is looking for Junior Data Analysts who will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to inform strategic decision making.

As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping data-driven strategies, leveraging your experience in data engineering, analytics, and statistical analysis. If you are passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights and have a background that includes experience in the US Navy, we want to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategy development, data engineering, and statistical analysis, with hands-on experience in the US Navy. In addition to technical skills, the candidate should possess proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI and have a keen understanding of user experience/interface design.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and objectives.
• Design and implement data strategies that support business goals and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Conduct statistical analysis and data modeling to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
• Create compelling and insightful data visualizations using tools like Qlik or Tableau.
• Apply user experience/interface design principles to enhance the accessibility and usability of data dashboards and reports.
• Provide actionable recommendations based on data findings to support decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science).
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst with a focus on strategy, data engineering, and analytics.
• Military experience, particularly in the US Navy, is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools, specifically Qlik or Tableau.
• Strong statistical analysis skills and experience with statistical software.
• Excellent programming skills, especially in languages such as Python or R.
• Familiarity with database management systems (SQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Active Secret clearance
